The organization has operated out of its Stonehaven location at 210 W. 18th St., which primarily served children from the city's east side, since 2006. The club's second location opened inside the former McCoy Elementary School, at 1313 Williams Drive, in August.
"[The new location] really helped us start that on that side of town, just to increase that population and get our feet wet," Park Lane Unit Director Millie Marshall said.
The club offers after-school care for children ages 7–17, and club membership is $10 per year, Marshall said. Children whose parents are active duty military personnel or are receiving assistance from the Georgetown Housing Authority receive free membership.
