Several businesses are now open or coming soon to Georgetown, including six in the Bluebonnet Plaza on West University Avenue. Check out some of the latest updates in the area.
Perky Beans Coffee
Owners Ron and Angie Diaz operate the Leander-based coffee shop, which offers coffees, teas, smoothies and grab-and-go food options. Mixed alcohol beverages will also be available in the evenings.

Texas Excel Gymnastics Academy
Led by head coach Kristi Bluett Morton, the business offers gymnastics classes, competition teams and open gym time as well as NinjaZone training. Those interested in trying the facility can take trial classes.

Birds Barbershop
The Austin-based full-service salon and barbershop provides haircuts, color and grooming services for men, women and children. Located in Bluebonnet Plaza, this is the company’s 10th area location.

Summer Moon Coffee
The coffee shop serves oak-roasted coffee with its signature sweet “Moon Milk.” Randy Findley owns the new location in the Bluebonnet Plaza shopping center as well as six other Austin-area locations.

Paris Baguette
The French-inspired Korean bakery cafe sells pastries, cakes, coffee and fresh-baked bread. The local franchise is owned by Georgetown residents Saige and David Lee.

Black Rock Coffee Bar
The drive-thru stand offers an assortment of coffee beverages, featuring seasonal options such as a cherry tiramisu latte. The menu also includes teas, smoothies and flavored energy drinks. The Georgetown location marks the company’s 10th store in the Austin area.

Aurora Medical Spa
The medical spa provides services such as Botox, dermaplaning and injectables. Located at the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard, the spa offers consultations for personalized treatment plans.

Discount Tire
The auto shop sells a variety of tires and wheels. This is the company’s second location in Georgetown.

Bad Habits Card Co.
Locally owned by Brodie Sachs, the business buys, sells and trades sports cards and cards for trading card games. It will also host play areas for a variety of games.

Velvet Taco
Located in Bluebonnet Plaza, the restaurant’s menu features over 20 tacos and bowls as well as a red velvet cake made in-house daily. This is the fifth Central Texas location for the Dallas-based fast-casual concept.

Tomlinson’s Feed
The new location is currently under construction. Based in Austin, the pet store sells natural, healthy products throughout Central Texas. It is family-owned and -operated, with team members trained in animal nutrition. Tomlinson’s Feed has other Georgetown-area locations in Bar W Marketplace and Parmer Ranch Marketplace.

The Goddard School
Enrollment opened July 31 for the upcoming location, which will provide childcare and early education for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. The new campus will include a multipurpose room and multiple playgrounds. The location is owned by Swetal Soni, Pinak Gohel, Vaishali Gohel and Rohan Munshi, who together own an existing Georgetown location of the franchise.

Snarf’s Sandwiches
The shop—which offers specialty sandwiches, salads and soups—is planning a location in Bluebonnet Plaza. Construction is slated to run from Sept. 7-Dec. 13. The company has locations in Colorado, Missouri and Texas, including five in the Austin area.

Swim Studio
The business offers swimming lessons to adults and children as young as 6 months old. Construction is set to begin in September and last through February 2028. Community Impact previously reported that the location was planned to open in early 2025.

Bach to Rock
The music school will open a new location near the Georgetown border. The school works to make learning music fun by encouraging students to play what they love. Construction to finish out the shell space is expected to take place between October and November.

Me Land Georgetown
The indoor playground expanded its play area. The expansion includes a minitown play area geared toward younger children. Children are able to dress up as princesses and doctors, scan imitation grocery items, and milk interactive toy cows in the new addition.

McIntire’s Garden Center
Since opening 50 years ago in October 1976, the center has supplied Georgetown residents with plants and gardening materials. To help keep local gardens looking fresh, the full-service shop provides expert advice as well as numerous tutorials on its website.

Williamson County Art Guild
The organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary in September. Established by Steve Benton and Sheila Crabill, the nonprofit aims to provide education and charitable opportunities that stimulate art in the county. The guild operates an affordable gallery—which opened in 2023—where emerging, evolving and established artists can display their work.

Rancho San Gabriel
Homebuilder D.R. Horton sold its first home in the neighborhood in May and opened its model in July. The new subdivision offers 10 floor plans starting at 1,236 square feet, and ranging from three to five bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and offering two-car garages.

St. David’s CareNow Urgent Care
St. David’s HealthCare announced it acquired 14 Texas MedClinic Urgent Care centers in August, including a location near Round Rock’s border with Georgetown. This brings the number of urgent care facilities under the St. David’s system to 39 in Central Texas alone, according to the company.

Hannah Banana Breads & More
Owned by Hannah Thompson, the business celebrated its five-year anniversary in July. Thompson said she began the bakery “starting off small,” selling a variety of bread and rolls. She later learned how to make custom cakes and pies. Eventually, she said she hopes to open a storefront to sell her baked goods and custom designs.

Grey Orchard Modern American
The restaurant, which took over the former Denny’s location, is owned by James Sun, with Michelin Guide-mentioned chef Cole Fitzgerald leading the kitchen. The dinner menu includes familiar favorites, such as smash burgers, corn dog fried okra, grilled chicken and fried fish sandwiches as well as fusion dishes, including duck banh mi, bao sliders and bang bang shrimp.
