All Georgetown ZIP codes see home sales prices decline year over year

During the last year, data on the number of homes sold in three Georgetown ZIP codes and the median price of those homes sold indicated a cooling real estate market.

The following data was collected for Community Impact's annual Home Edition, which is published every July.

Number of homes sold

When comparing home sales that took place from June 2021-May 2022 to those from June 2022-May 2023, the number of homes sold fell by about 15% in two of Georgetown’s three ZIP codes.

The only ZIP code that saw an increase in the number of homes sold was 78628, where 1,500 homes were bought over the course of the last year.

Median home sales price

Additionally, median home sales prices declined in all three Georgetown ZIP codes; however, the percent change was relatively small, ranging from less than 1% to a little more than 3%.
