With most precincts reported, Donna Imam takes the win with 55.08% of the vote in the Democratic primary runoff for Texas 31st congressional seat.
Imam received 17,765 votes, while her challenger, Christine Mann, received 14,488, according to the Texas Secretary of State website.
Imam is a progressive candidate with a background in computer engineering. She will face incumbent John Carter, who has been in office since 2003, in the general election Nov. 3.
