Williamson County commissioners discussed what to do with the remaining $3.3 million in 2020 Capital Improvement Program funding Feb. 11.
The court approved allocating $2 million for replacing the heating, ventilation and air conditioning units in the county’s Juvenile Detention Center, located at 200 Wilco Way, Georgetown.
The remaining $1.3 million was left for other emergencies that may arise in county buildings or facilities.
Other CIP requests include a fourth floor build-out of the jail, a remodel of the second floor of the Justice Center, repairs to the jail parking garage, improve security at the Sheriff's Office headquarters with new gates and window screens, a remodel and new space of the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, and restrooms along the trail of Berry Spring Park and Preserve.
