As summer comes to a close, several community organizations throughout Georgetown continue to host events.
Check out this noncomprehensive list of a dozen things to do, ranging from theater productions, art shows, back-to-school bashes, fundraisers and outdoor activities.
'Much Ado About Nothing'
Druid & Bard, an independent live theater company, is performing the Shakespeare comedy of headstrong lovers and mistaken identities.
Sunset Movie SeriesThe city will show "Zootopia 2" on the San Gabriel Park event lawn. Families are invited to bring a blanket and chairs and some snacks, and can enjoy free popcorn and activities. Frios, a gourmet pop food truck, will be on-site.
Blazin’ Beer CrawlAt the self-paced event, attendees taste craft beers inside several downtown businesses. Ticket holders will receive a keepsake tasting glass and a map of participating locations. Snacks will be available at select merchants, other restaurants will have event specials and food trucks will be on-site.
Texture & TimeThe exhibit at the Georgetown Art Center by artist J Muzacz combines glass, tile, digital impressionism and geometric abstraction into mosaics. An opening reception will take place Aug. 8 from 4-6 p.m., followed by an artist talk Aug. 9 at 2 p.m.
FDE Skills CampHosted by FootDoctor Esia, the softball skills camp will take place at East View High School. The camp is tailored for ages 12 and older, and registration is limited by position.
New Moon Sound BathFlow Yoga Georgetown invites the community to celebrate the new moon. The evening will include intention setting, gentle yoga practice, group meditation and a soothing sound bath.
Rock the Locker Back to School BashThe community celebration at Camp Briteside, which will include music and family-friendly games, serves as a donation drive to help stock The Locker for the upcoming school year. The nonprofit group helps educate and empower youth through service learning.
Hidden Worlds: Exploring Inner Space CavernsEPIC: Explore, Protect, Inspire, Connect—a Hill Country outdoor enthusiasts group—will take a guided adventure cave tour of Inner Space Cavern. The tour takes guests along a 1-mile paved trail, while a guide shares the history of the stunning formation.
Sun City Texas Boutique BazaarThe Sun City Texas Community Association’s event invites attendees to shop for jewelry, clothing, handbags, accessories and beauty items.

‘And Then There Were None’Taking place at the Doug Smith Performance Center, the Georgetown Palace Theatre will put on a production of the play based on Agatha Christie’s 1939 novel. It follows 10 strangers who are summoned to a remote island, and one by one are murdered.
45th annual Mustang and Ford Round UpThe event, hosted by the Mustang Owners Club of Austin, will take place at Georgetown Church of Christ. Preregistration to participate in the car show closes Aug. 26.
24th annual GHS Baseball Eagles Classic Golf TournamentThe golf scramble is a fundraising event held by the Eagle Baseball Booster Club. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase equipment ahead of the upcoming 2027 baseball season. Those interested can put a team together to play or sponsor the event.
