Equipment purchases for the new Georgetown ISD Future Ready Learning Center set to open in August were approved March 19. GISD trustees greenlit the use of up to $1 million in bond funds for shop equipment to serve the district's career and technical education programming.
Two-minute impact
Trustees gave the okay for district staff to purchase the following pieces of shop equipment to support CTE education at the FRLC:
- Tool boxes
- Small tools
- 3D printers
- Laser cutters
- Metal lathes
- Large format plotters
- Vacuum formers
- CNC mills
The contract will be executed with ATC as the vendor, per district documents.
