Williamson County reported 17 new cases of coronavirus May 12, reaching 397, according to a Williamson County and Cities Health District report.
Of the 397 confirmed cases, 223 have recovered, the report said.
Currently, 11 patients are hospitalized, six are in the intensive care unit, and four patients are on a ventilator, per the report.
The county also reported two additional deaths, a woman in her 70s and a woman in her 80s.
“It is with a heavy heart that we report on the passing of two Williamson County residents. This disease sees no race, gender, or age; it has attacked the most vulnerable, and even those who did their best to fight against it until the end,” Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in the release. “I am reminded that it is because of these lives lost that we continue to make sacrifices and decisions that are difficult, but must be made in order to preserve lives.”
Between May 9-11, the county reported 19 additional cases and a 14th death, a woman in her 90s.
