OVER THE WEEKEND: Williamson County confirmed coronavirus cases reaches 380; 14th death reported

Williamson County and Cities Health District confirmed three new cases of the novel coronavirus May 11, bringing the county total to 380.

So far, 217 people have recovered. There are also currently 12 people hospitalized, seven in intensive care and four on ventilators, per the report.

The county also reported its 14th death, a woman in her 90s.

“We begin this week with tragic news on the fourteenth COVID-19 related death in our county," Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in a news release. "I want to remind our residents, this is not just a number, this was someone’s loved one and friend, and their life being taken by this disease will not go unnoticed. It is for each of the people who have died at the hands of the virus that we continue our fight to reduce the spread of COVID-19, and abide by health measures to keep others around us safe.”

On May 9, the county reported seven new cases and its 13^th death, a man in his 90s.

On May 10, the county reported nine new cases, bringing the total to 377.
