As Texas slowly reopens from the coronavirus quarantine, Georgetown Police Department reported minimal issues when it comes to following related regulations.
From 12:01 a.m. May 22 to 12:01 a.m. May 26, GPD reported zero calls related to social distancing violators over Memorial Day weekend.
GPD Assistant Chief of Police Cory Tchida said the department's practice regarding complaints remains the same.
“Our goal is to educate and seek voluntary compliance based on that education when we receive a complaint,” Tchida said.
