The Williamson County and Cities Health District announced eight new positive cases of the novel coronavirus April 30, bringing the county total to 301, as it closes the month.
Currently, 10 patients are hospitalized, and two patients are on a ventilator, per the report. Of the 301 confirmed cases, 175 have recovered.
The district also reported it ninth coronavirus-related death. The patient was a female in her 90s.
"It is with a heavy heart that we report on the news of another Williamson County resident passing due to the coronavirus. We send our support to the family who lost their loved one, and anyone else who is dealing with the impacts of this deadly disease,” Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said in a news release.
