Mass-vaccination sites in Williamson County will be closed down as they have served their purpose to get individuals who want to get vaccinated, Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell said April 20.
Currently there are three vaccine hubs in Williamson County at the Georgetown ISD Athletic Complex and Dell Diamond in Round Rock, operated by Curative, and Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex operated by Family Hospital Systems.
These hubs will be closed based on the last day they will be providing second does. The county will stop providing doses to FHS by May 12 and to Curative by May 21, Gravell said.
“Mass-vaccination sites have served their purpose, and our folks have done an amazing job," Gravell said. “But we are really getting to a point where we don’t have enough folks who want to get shots to justify the mass-vaccination sites.”
