5. Ralph Gracie GeorgetownOwner and head instructor John Simas will offer group and individual Brazilian jiujitsu and self-defense classes. The academy teaches the unique fighting style of master jiujitsu artist Ralph Gracie.

6. PetVet365The veterinary clinic provides a variety of preventative, advanced and urgent care treatments for pets, including wellness exams, vaccinations, blood work, stem cell therapy and X-rays. The clinic also offers behavioral, dental and surgical services. All PetVet365 staff members are trained and certified in Fear Free practices, which promote a stress-free environment for pets and their owners.
Handlebarz Party Bike ToursThe company will offer tours of the Georgetown square. Passengers will ride on a human-powered, multipassenger bike, which will be steered by a driver, while a tour guide ushers them around the historic downtown area. Participants can bring their own drinks and sing along to an on-bike karaoke machine.
ExpansionsMaralyn’s Pet Services
The private mobile pet groomer recently expanded its service area to include Georgetown. Owned and operated by Maralyn Culp, the business offers baths, deshedding, trims and full grooming for dogs of all sizes as well as lion cuts and cat grooming.

Based in Georgetown, the company celebrated 20 years of business in May. Owned by Tracy Meek, it specializes in cleaning carpet, furniture, upholstery, rugs, tile and stone as well as pet urine removal and stain removal.
8. R BankThe Texas-based bank celebrated its 15th anniversary on June 22. In early June, the company welcomed Todd Engemoen as its new president and CEO following the retirement of Steve Stapp.
9. Texas State University’s Round Rock campusIn partnership with commercial real estate developer Concept Companies, the school announced a life science incubator program June 27. The new facility will be dedicated to supporting startups in the life sciences and medical fields, and will include laboratories, offices, administrative support and collaboration spaces. Construction is expected to reach completion by the end of 2025.

Established in 2009, the restaurant—which served as a community gathering place for motorcyclists, veterans and families—specialized in burgers made with freshly ground and seasoned meat. The business also served a variety of bar foods and hosted live music.
