The bowling alley off North Austin Avenue along I-35 in Georgetown began operating under the Lucky Strike name in late August.
The history
Previously called Mel's Lone Star Lanes, the business was purchased by the Bowlero Corp umbrella group three years ago, staff said. The location has been operating under the Bowlero name, which rebranded to Lucky Strike Entertainment in December.
The Georgetown alley's first day as Lucky Strike was Aug. 21, and the company's logo and signage was put up that same week. Additionally, the name change came with a few interior updates.
