Taiwanese-based electronics manufacturing company Compal will bring a server service center to the Georgetown Logistics Business Park. The facility is slated to open in February 2027, according to city documents.

The service center will primarily support enterprise and cloud infrastructure needs, according to city documents. It is projected to cost $35 million to build out, and create at least 100 full-time jobs.

Georgetown City Council approved an economic development agreement and a tax abatement agreement with Compal at its Dec. 9 meeting in return for performance-based milestones.

The tax abatement agreement will exempt 50% of business personal property taxes and 25% of real property taxes for ten years, estimated at $569,910.
