Dave’s Hot Chicken opened in Georgetown on Sept. 18. The restaurant chain specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, with a menu sporting tenders, sliders and sides.

Owned by Brian Cassidy of CW Strong Restaurant Group, the restaurant replaced Carl’s Jr. on University Avenue. The building renovation cost $350,000, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Dave's Hot Chicken also has locations in Waco and San Antonio. This will be its first in the greater Austin area.
