1. Officials break ground on 60,000-square-foot entertainment complex in Georgetown
The Junction, a new entertainment venture by Georgetown-based Cooley Capital Companies, broke ground at 210 Blue Springs Blvd. on Nov. 13.
Representatives from the development, as well as local government officials, marked the first major construction milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony, featuring food trucks and bar pop-ups from the future vendors.

3. Miniso to celebrate grand opening in Georgetown
Miniso, a China-based retailer, hosted a grand opening for its new location in Georgetown's Wolf Ranch Town Center on Nov. 29.
The store is known for affordable household goods, ranging from stationery to plush toys.
4. Georgetown Palace Theatre Playhouse to close at the end of 2025
The Georgetown Palace Theatre will close the Palace Playhouse on Rock Street at the end of the year, according to a news release. "Dashing Through the Snow," which opened Nov. 28, will be the last program at this location.
The Palace Playhouse is a black box-style performance facility showcasing live plays.
Following the Playhouse closure, the Palace Theatre will move its Playhouse productions to the Doug Smith Performance Center on Second Street. This facility currently houses the Palace's education program.
5. Georgetown scraps Berry Creek Trail project due to resident feedback
Georgetown City Council directed city staff to stop working on the Berry Creek Trail West project, which would have connected county-owned Berry Springs Park with the future Westside Park, at its workshop meeting Nov. 12.
