FIFA to announce location of 2026 World Cup final in February

The FIFA World Cup 2026 match schedule is slated to be revealed Feb. 4 during a live broadcast, according to a news release.

What’s happening

The announcement will include allocation of 104 matches across 16 host cities, including the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The announcement will also name:

• The location of the tournament’s opening matches in Canada, Mexico and the U.S.
• The group stage locations for each host country’s national team
• The venue that will host the World Cup’s final match

In the U.S., Fox and Telemundo will broadcast the announcement at 2 p.m. Feb. 4, according to the news release. FIFA’s digital and social platforms will also provide coverage of the announcement.

How we got here

In 2022, FIFA announced Dallas-Fort Worth was one of 16 cities across Canada, Mexico and the U.S. that would host matches for the tournament in 2026. The tournament will feature 104 matches split across the three countries.
