The city of Frisco announced June 18 crews will spray for mosquitos June 19 and 20 after two mosquito pools in the Dominion at Panther Creek and the Panther Creek Estates communities tested positive for West Nile virus.
A third-party contractor will apply treatment at 9 p.m. Saturday, June 19, and continue through 5 a.m. Sunday, June 20. Spraying will resume Sunday night at 9 p.m. and will finish at 5 a.m. on Monday, June 21.
The spraying will occur to the west and south of Northwest Community Park.
"We urge residents to be vigilant about following the ‘wear, apply and remove’ guidelines," Environmental Health Supervisor Julie Fernande said in a news release. “Following these three steps is the best way to protect yourself and your family against mosquito bites that can cause West Nile Virus."
