An international nonprofit will soon have an 86,000-square-foot facility in Prosper.
Children’s Hunger Fund announced its acquisition of land in an April 10 news release. The new facility, located near the Dallas North Tollway and First Street, will house the organization’s ministry and volunteer operations as well as an immersive educational experience on poverty. The facility will also have space for 40 staff members.
“We are very excited to announce this incomparable opportunity to serve folks in need across North Texas from this new facility in Prosper,” said Dave Phillips, Children’s Hunger Fund founder and president, in the release. “After nearly a decade in Dallas and Frisco, we have watched this ministry flourish in North Texas, and this new acquisition of land represents a major step forward.”
Children’s Hunger Fund was founded in 1991 and serves in 32 countries. It partners with individuals, families, churches and other organizations to deliver food and resources to children and families. Volunteers prepare and distribute Food Paks, which are the size of a shoe box and are filled with nonperishable items.
