The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved the zoning of a new mixed-use development to be built across from Frisco Square. The new 32.6-acre development, called Frisco Fresh Market, is located at the northeast corner of Frisco and Main streets.
City Council is expected to vote on the development at a future meeting.
City planners said Frisco Fresh Market would complement the historic downtown core to the east and Frisco Square to the south. The project is envisioned to be an urban environment that serves as a destination and entertainment area and connect Toyota Stadium, Frisco Square and the downtown core.
The project plans include office space, retail, restaurants, multifamily residences, a hotel and a tennis center and club.
