building, which will be seven stories, is slated for completion in August. Construction also started on the first 300-unit apartment community, Station House. Station House apartments will open mid-2018 and a ground breaking is expected to happen this year for a 600-room hotel.

3. Hall Park

Hall Park began construction on its 17th and tallest building in September on the southwest corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Warren Parkway. The 12-story, Class AA building will contain 300,000 square feet. The building is expected to be complete between late 2017 and early 2018. The whole park is also undergoing a facelift to include new signage, lighting and modern amenities.

4. Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children broke ground on its Frisco campus in October at the northeast corner of Lebanon Road and Dallas Parkway. The ambulatory care center, which was first announced in 2014, will offer pediatric sports medicine clinical care and research as well as orthopedic care. The facility is planned to be 345,000 square feet. The Frisco campus is expected to open in the fall of 2018.

5. The Gate

The first project broke ground at The Gate, the $700-million master planned development by Dubai-based Invest Group Overseas, at the southwest corner of Lebanon Road and Dallas North Tollway. The project is a multifamily development called the Domain At The Gate and it will consist of 350 one- and two-bedroom units and will include amenities throughout. The project will sit on the highest points in The Gate, overlooking The Star in Frisco. The Domain At The Gate is expected to be complete in summer 2018.

6. Jefferson Stonebriar

Jefferson Stonebriar was the first residential project to begin construction at the intersection of Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway. The project at the northeast corner of Ohio and Gaylord will have a total of 424 units, including townhomes. The property spans about 9 acres and includes a six-story garage. Construction is expected to be complete by this spring.

7. Frisco Summit

Frisco Summit started construction in early 2016 at the southwest corner of Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway. The first phase of the project is expected to be ready for residents in the spring. The project will have 373 units and 2,000 square feet of retail space. The apartment community will wrap around a four-story parking garage.

8. Gaylord Apartments

Gaylord Apartments at the southeast corner of Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway broke ground last summer. The apartment community spans more than 10 acres and will include 283 units. It is expected to be complete by this summer.

9. Shops at Starwood

The third and final phase of the Shops at Starwood has been completed at the southwest corner of Lebanon Road and Dallas North Tollway. Construction on the final phase began in the summer of 2015 and adds nearly 40,000 square feet of space. The expansion adds more than 26,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and more than 11,000 square feet of executive office space.
