A mosquito pool near Copper Point Lane in the Village Lakes neighborhood tested positive for West Nile Virus this week.
This puts Frisco at 30 positive pools this season. On Aug. 20, the city confirmed its 25th positive pool. There have been no confirmed cases of West Nile virus in humans in Frisco this year, according to a release from the city.
In response to the most recent pool, the city will ground spray overnight on Sept. 17 and 18 in six neighborhoods: Village Lakes, Crosspoint Park, Park Place Estates, Pearson Farms, Heritage Village and Westfalls Village.
A third-party contractor will apply treatment beginning at 9 p.m. Sept. 17 through 5 a.m. Sept. 18. The same schedule will begin at 9 p.m. on Sept. 18.
