Frisco ISD residents have the opportunity to learn more about the district and its operations through a community outreach program.

FISD Insight was created to provide a behind-the-scenes look into the district, according to a district news release. The application window for the program is open July 22-Aug. 13.

“Insight is a great place to start for anyone who has questions about how FISD operates,” said Ashley Sine, director of community relations, in the release. “It’s also a foot in the door. Many of our Insight participants continue their involvement in the district for years to come.”

About the program

The community education forum allows stakeholders from Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney and Plano to learn more about Frisco ISD. Adults who live within Frisco ISD boundaries are eligible to apply.

Classes will be held approximately once a month from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m in August through December. The classes cover a variety of topics including career and technology education, transportation, technology and curriculum. The group will visit campuses and other facilities such as athletics, maintenance, nutrition, transportation and administration.

The cost to participate in the program is $20.
