Collin College and Tarrant County College have entered into an agreement that will streamline the process for registered nurses who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing to transfer credits to Collin College.
The colleges announced in an Oct. 18 news release that they signed an articulation agreement, which allows TCC alumni holding an Associate of Applied Science in nursing and a Registered Nurse License in the state of Texas to transfer to Collin College’s BSN program without losing any credits.
Students can earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the college in as little as nine months, per the release.
“We are thrilled to partner with Tarrant County College and create seamless transfer opportunities for community college students,” said Betty Veasy, director of nursing at Collin College, in the release. “With the critical nursing shortage, the timing could not be better for more students to attend Collin College’s rigorous, accessible, and affordable RN-to-BSN program.”
