Shoppes at Westside Market Phase 2 is almost complete at the southeast corner of FM 423 and Lebanon Road. The building will be two stories tall and have 22,000 square feet of space. The development will include a brunch restaurant, a running-shoe store, a frozen-yogurt shop and an Italian restaurant. Crews began construction on the building in January 2016, and the first few tenants are expected to be open for business this summer.

5. Frisco Lakes retail building
The third phase of a development project on the northwest corner of FM 423 and Stonebrook Parkway was completed in January. The building, which is behind a new Chick-fil-A, is 22,000 square feet and geared toward retail, medical and professional space. The building is part of a bigger project at that intersection that is expected to bring in more retail stores and restaurants to that area of Frisco.
6. The Commons at Chapel Creek
Construction of this residential development is almost completed at 7997 Wade Blvd., Frisco. The 300-unit development includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and town houses. Amenities include a resort-style pool, a fitness center, pet-friendly sites and an outdoor grilling and patio area. Construction on the development began 10 months ago and is expected to be finished this summer. Some apartment homes are ready for move-in.

7. Denton County Government Center in Frisco
Construction is nearly finished on the government center at the southwest corner of Lebanon Road and FM 423 in Frisco. The 24,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed by the end of April. The center will house offices for the county clerk, the justice of the peace, the county constable and the county tax office. It will have adult and juvenile probation departments and an office for the state representative. Construction began a year ago.
