Plans for hospital, medical office buildings near Medical City Frisco go before commission

Development plans are in the works to add a hospital, medical office buildings and parking garages adjacent to Medical City Frisco at Frisco Square.

Two related items went before the Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission at an April 14 meeting, but the items did not take their next steps in the process.

One item included open space and preliminary site plans for a hospital, a medical office building and a parking garage across 10 acres on the southeast corner of Dallas Parkway and Main Street.

But the project’s owner requested a 30-day extension to allow for additional changes to be made on the plans before action is made. The commission approved the extension request.

The other item included a replat for a medical office building and parking garage on the southeast corner of Dallas and Frisco Square Boulevard. However, this item was denied by the commission.

The 3.3-acre project was denied due to failure to comply with the city’s subdivision ordinance and engineering standards, according to city documents.
