Leaders talk projects at annual State of the City in Frisco

Frisco continues to move dirt.

Officials hosted the annual State of the City on June 18 where city leaders discussed major projects happening in Frisco.

Many of the projects underway are moving toward a 2026 completion as Frisco, and the region, prepares for the 2026 World Cup, Mayor Jeff Cheney said. Cheney also attributed some of the growth to the PGA, which has been opened in Frisco for a year.

“It very much is transforming the northern part of our city, and build-out will be here faster than it otherwise would have,” Cheney said.

• Grand Park
