Plans for a park, chapel, amphitheater and restaurant are moving forward for Firefly Park.
During its Oct. 12 meeting, the Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission approved two consent agenda items advancing plans for further development of Frisco’s Firefly Park, an approximately 271-acre retail, residential and office mixed-use district.
What to know
The first agenda item outlines plans for a 57.7-acre site at the northeast corner of Mahard and PGA Parkways, including a park and open space, chapel, amphitheater and restaurant building across four lots.
City documents show the plan includes the development’s required open space, with interactive elements and amenities, and provides access from Mahard Parkway.
The second item outlines a preliminary site plan for 229 townhome lots and eight homeowners association lots across 48.3 acres, updating four street names: Mahlmann Mews to McCoy Mews, Long Lane to Shimmer Way, Blaxton Lane to Presley Lane and Green Lane to Elyse Lane.
One more thing
Developed by Wilks Development, Firefly Park is located along the Dallas North Tollway and PGA Parkway, and will be opened in three phases, with the first phase including:
120,000 square feet of retail
170,000 square feet of Class A office space
233 high-rise units
187 mid-rise units
230 for-sale luxury townhomes
A 177-room hotel
A 45-acre park
Construction on the hotel and townhomes began in August and is expected to finish by early 2028. Wilks Development officials said office space at Firefly Park is expected to become available in October 2027.
