Denton County confirms 3 new COVID-19 cases in Frisco

Health officials in Denton County confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 in Frisco on April 22.

That brings the city's total to 125 confirmed cases, though 88 Frisco residents have recovered. Of the total cases in the city, 74 are from Collin County, and 51 are from Denton County.

Denton County Public Health announced April 22 that a Denton man in his 60s died due to COVID-19, bringing the county’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 19.

“As we report the loss of a nineteenth life to COVID-19 in Denton County today, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers,” Denton County Judge Andy Eads said in a statement. “We know that each life lost to COVID-19 is one too many.”

Officials also confirmed an additional 25 cases of coronavirus, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 644.

So far, 263 Denton County residents who were diagnosed with the virus have recovered, and 362 cases remain active, according to public health officials.

Collin County health officials confirmed 14 new cases of COVID-19 on April 22. In total, the county has 584 confirmed cases. So far, 421 Collin County residents have recovered from the virus, and 14 have died, according to health officials. There are currently 149 active cases in the county.
