Health officials in Denton County confirmed one new case of COVID-19 in Frisco on May 13.
The new case brings the city's total to 145 confirmed cases, though 113 Frisco residents have recovered. Of the total cases in Frisco, 87 are from Collin County, and 58 are from Denton County.
Collin County health officials confirmed the death of a 71-year-old Plano man on May 13 and 15 new cases of coronavirus, though none in Frisco. Collin County Health Care Services said the Plano man had COVID-19 and an underlying health condition when he died May 13 at a Plano hospital.
With the new cases, the county's total is now 978 confirmed cases. So far, 638 Collin County residents have recovered from the virus, and 30 have died. There are currently 310 active cases in the county, officials said.
