Frisco Deputy City Manager Ron Patterson has submitted his letter of resignation after more than 21 years with the city, according to a news release.
Patterson’s letter was submitted to interim City Manager Henry Hill on July 5, and the mayor and City Council were notified shortly after via email, the release stated.
Patterson has served in a variety of roles in Frisco, starting as the assistant city manager in 1993. He left Frisco for jobs in Kerrville and Forney, Texas, before returning to Frisco in 2007. Beginning in 2017, he served as president of the Frisco Economic Development Corp. and transitioned into his role as deputy city manager in June 2021.
“It has been my distinct pleasure and privilege to serve the citizens of Frisco,” Patterson said in the release. “What a labor of love it has been and one I will cherish always.”
