During Tuesday's meeting, Frisco City Council approved a specific use permit for a 17-story residential high-rise at The Star in Frisco. Council will vote on an ordinance for the permit at a later meeting. The high-rise is planned to have a maximum of 160 residential units with commercial and retail uses on the first floor of the building. The development is also planned to have a parking garage and open space. Council approved amending plans for The Star in Frisco in May. The amended plans allowed for residential uses within the 91-acre development.
