1. 1845 Mercantile
The business offers goods that are Texas and Frisco inspired. Items include clothing, accessories, books, trinkets and more. The store also features large canvas prints of historic Frisco throughout the space.

2. The Back Nine
The nationwide business provides an indoor virtual golf experience featuring precise analytics and data. The Back Nine offers a variety of golf simulations aimed at experienced players to beginners and younger players. Owner Cory Caperton said The Back Nine is a private and comfortable golf experience for everyone, regardless of skill.
3. Edikted
The business sells affordable trending clothing featuring Y2K, lounge and streetwear styles. Edikted's fashion is rooted in style and digital culture said Kiko Sunata, Edikted's senior director of PR & Partnerships. The Los Angeles based brand started as an online business in 2020, but has now expanded to 12 stores including its most recent at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco. Frisco marks the first Texas storefront for Edikted.
4. Kelvin Scale
The business offers ice cream with no eggs and no preservatives with a focus on real ingredients, a business representative said. Kelvin Scale offers over 150 flavors with seasonal rotations. Some offerings include taro, popcorn, cantaloupe, Dubai Chocolate and more.
5. Mr. Winston’s
The Dallas-based barbershop is located at The Shops at Starwood. This is the brand’s fifth location with others in Uptown Dallas, Preston Hollow, Highland Park and Southlake. Mr. Winston’s is a barbershop that offers modern men’s haircuts and grooming services. Its services include hair cuts, kids cuts, shaves, fades and more.
6. Outlaw FitCamp
The business offers group fitness classes as well as personal training and couples training. Owners Taj and Lidya Yacey said Outlaw Fit Camp is a place for everyone. This is the third Outlaw FitCamp to open for the Texas-based chain with previous locations in Flower Mound and Hickory Creek.

7. La Rue Doughnuts
The doughnut shop offers brioche tallow fried doughnuts, cruller, croissants and fresh pastries. La Rue also plans to offer a wide selection of coffee using locally roasted Texas blends. Frisco is La Rue Doughnuts second location alongside the original in Dallas that opened in August 2024.

8. Moxies
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction of the new restaurant will cost about $800,000. The restaurant will take the former space of the City Works restaurant at The Star in Frisco. Moxies is a Canadian-based brand with locations in North Texas that include Southlake and Plano. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner, happy hour and has a late-night menu. Brunch is offered as well.
Expansions
9. Summer Moon
The coffee shop expanded its Rail District location into the space next door, which used to be a hair salon, to add more seating. Seating throughout was also updated. The renovation was completed in June. Summer Moon offers hot and cold coffee and breakfast and lunch options.
Closures
10. Aveda
The business closed its location at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco. Aveda offered health and beauty services and body care. It offered products for hair, skin and more. Aveda products will still be available online.
11. Cow Tipping Creamery
Founding restaurant at The Star, Cow Tipping Creamery announced on a Facebook post that it will be officially closing in July. Cow Tipping Creamery opened at The Star in 2017 as one of the original restaurants. The reason for closing is unknown. Cow Tipping Creamery encourages fans to come in for one last sweet treat before July 14.
12. On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina
Tex-Mex restaurant On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina permanently closed all company-owned restaurants in mid-June, according to an emailed statement from OTB Hospitality. The company made the decision through an “evaluation of the business,” according to the statement.
