Collin County Judge Chris Hill will allow bars to reopen and operate at 50% capacity starting Oct. 14. His decision comes a day after Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order allowing bars to reopen with the approval of county judges.

Progresso Jiu Jitsu opened Oct. 5 at 3000 Custer Road, Ste. 220, Plano. The gym’s owner and lead instructor, Alexander Hilligsoe Trans, is a former jiujitsu fighter who has competed and earned top titles in national and world championships.
Plano native to be recognized by the city for Stanley Cup win
The city of Plano will honor one of its own as the first to win a Stanley Cup in a ceremony Nov. 2.
Blake Coleman, who plays left wing for the Tampa Bay Lightning, is not only the first Plano native but also the first Texan to win a Stanley Cup, a city release said.

All Alamo Drafthouse locations in the Dallas Fort-Worth area, including the Richardson location, are temporarily closed, according to an Oct. 7 press release.

Mac&Z prepares for soft opening of cafe and children's play area in Flower Mound
Mac&Z will open its doors to visitors Oct. 12 as it prepares for a wider soft opening Oct. 17 near the Riverwalk at Central Park, 4281 Esplanade Place, Ste. 100, Flower Mound. The cafe will include a play area for young children, including toddlers and crawlers.
