Argyle to consider tax rate, budget at meeting

Argyle Town Council will consider the budget and tax rate for fiscal year 2023-24 at the 6 p.m. meeting Sept. 18.

The details

The proposed fiscal year 2023-24 tax rate of no more than $0.343111 per $100 of valuation is lower than the rate of $0.365347 from FY 2022-23. A hearing will also be held on the tax rate at the meeting.

Also of note

For the proposed general fund budget, council will consider $6.2 million, which is higher than last year’s $5.9 million.
