The Lewisville board of trustees approved three new career and technical education courses during its Oct. 17 board meeting.
The new courses include sheet metal technology, introduction to instrumental and electrical, and advanced instrument and electrical.
The sheet metal course will be replacing practicum in construction management and will give a more concentrated effort of the installation and manufacturing of sheet metal within the HVAC program, according to the agenda.
The introduction to instrumental and electrical course will be replacing principles of construction and will be giving a more concentrated focus within the electrical components of construction.
