The Denton County Office of History and Culture will host a grand opening and dedication ceremony for the Woods House Museum on April 11 at 11:30 a.m. The event will include a ribbon cutting as well as docent-led tours, refreshments and live music entertainment.

Onsite signage states the house was originally located at 614 Terry Ave. in Quakertown, which was an African American community in Denton.
“Interactive exhibits allow visitors to learn more about the history of Civil Rights, both locally and nationally,” the signage states.
