Three Denton libraries to close in August for maintenance, staff training

Three Denton libraries will temporarily close for maintenance and staff training in August, according to an announcement on the city’s website.

The details

The library closures will stagger so not more than one library will close at a time.

• North Branch Library will be the first to close. The library will be closed all day Aug. 7.
• South Branch Library will close from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Aug. 14.
• Emily Fowler Library will close from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Aug. 21.

What else?

All libraries will still accept returns in the book drop off, and WiFi will be available in the library parking lots during the closures, the announcement states.

Digital library materials will still be available and library card holders can access any Denton public library during business hours.
