Harris Ranch, which has primarily served as a cattle ranch in Denton for 80 years, has sold 53 acres of land for a new master-planned business campus, according to a news release from real estate development firm Urban Logistics Realty.

Ground will break for the first phase of development in August, according to the release. The first phase will include the construction of five industrial buildings spanning across 656,007 square feet. This phase is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2027.
The development will undergo two total phases of industrial development that will total more than 1.1 million square feet across 10 buildings, according to its website. It will eventually span 80 acres, and individual buildings will range from 19,000 square feet to 193,000 square feet.
The new Harris Ranch Urban District development will be used primarily for distribution, advanced manufacturing and logistics and is situated off I-35 in Denton due to its connectivity and the region's growth, its website states.
"Harris Ranch has been part of Denton's identity for generations," said Drew Feagin, Urban Logistics Realty's chief development officer. "Our vision is to preserve that legacy while creating a business park that reflects where the community is headed, delivering exceptional space for businesses, creating lasting jobs and becoming a place where people are proud to work."
Harris Ranch is being developed by a joint venture between Urban Logistics and a real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital, with construction financing provided by First United Bank, according to the release.
GSR Andrade Architects will serve as the architect, Kimley-Horn has been hired as the engineer and Bratjen Construction as the general contractor for the project.
