Tetra Pak, a food and beverage processing and packaging company, broke ground on its expanding product development center in Denton, according to a news release from the company.

Tetra Pak held the ceremony March 31 to commemorate the new facility, which is part of its U.S. and Canadian headquarters. According to the news release, the expanded product development center will allow Tetra Pak to bring products to the market quicker and more efficiently.
The facility is expected to open at the beginning of 2027 and will include 12,000 square feet for the product development center with an additional 3,000 square feet for a new customer innovation center, the release states.
“This investment expands our ability to support customers as they navigate complex product development challenges to avoid costly pitfalls, gain efficiencies and accelerate their path to market, all within a single expert-driven ecosystem,” said Seth Teply, president and CEO of Tetra Pak U.S. and Canada.
There will be meeting spaces within the facility where customers can collaborate with Tetra Pak on new ideas and innovations.
“What we are building here is not just infrastructure,” said Julia Luscher, vice president of marketing with Tetra Pak. “We are building capacity. We are building partnership. And we are building the future of how innovation happens in our industry.”
Expansion will bring eight new jobs to Denton and increase customer engagement and business, the release states.

The company started in Sweden in 1951 and has evolved to produce packaging, filling machines and processing for dairy, beverages, cheese, ice cream and prepared food, the website states.
