Dallas-based Landsea Homes announced the appointment of a new vice president to oversee land acquisition and development in a May 20 news release.

What happened?

Landsea Homes appointed Aubrey Dym vice president of land for the company’s Dallas-Fort Worth division, according to the news release. Dym brings more than 16 years of expertise in the real estate industry to the role.

Before joining Landsea Homes, Dym worked in various leadership positions at Mill Creek Residential Trust, Taylor Morrison and Beazer Homes. In her new role, Dym will oversee land acquisition and development strategies for Landsea Homes in the metropolitan area.

“Aubrey’s experience speaks for itself,” said Melissa Kelly, Dallas-Fort Worth division president, in a statement. “She brings a unique strategic perspective and enthusiasm for success that will serve our Dallas-Fort Worth division well as we work to expand our footprint and become one of the top homebuilders in this very important market. Bringing her on board is a great first step in doing so.”

Landsea Homes broke into the Dallas-Fort Worth market in January with the purchase of Antares Homes. Based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Antares Homes was acquired in a $245.5 million deal, which includes repayment of $43.2 million of Antares Homes debt.
