Council is set to “review and discuss the possible 2026 bond program” during its Oct. 6 meeting, according to the meeting agenda.
Council had previously directed staff to target the May 2026 election for a potential bond program and pushed the city’s charter amendment election to the same time, according to the agenda.
The background
City staff is currently reviewing potential bond projects, with presentations to council expected over the coming months. Council will determine whether to call a bond election “by early February 2026,” according to city documents.
The city’s most recent bond was approved by voters in November 2021 and funded $190 million in street, city building, sidewalk drainage and park projects.
