Prosper and Celina will see road closures this week as part of the extension of the Dallas North Tollway. Roads are expected to reopen Oct. 5.

Sept. 29-Oct. 4

• Dallas Parkway from First Street to FM 428 will be closed daily.

Sept. 29-Oct. 3

• All lanes on Light Farms Way between north and southbound Dallas Parkway will be closed.

Sept. 29-Oct. 1

• Frontier Parkway’s eastbound right lane will close.

Oct. 1-4

• Lanes on First Street between north and southbound Dallas Parkway will close overnight.

The context

The road closures are part of a $460 million North Texas Tollway Authority project to extend Dallas North Tollway. The tollway will be extended 13.7 miles north of US 380 to accommodate population growth in the area.

One phase of the project is expected to be completed in fall 2027. A completion date for the full project has not been determined.
