What are the biggest challenges facing the city?
Balancing rapid growth while maintaining Celina’s charm, ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with development, and prioritizing public safety. Managing resources wisely while supporting businesses and residents is critical. Thoughtful planning and strong leadership are needed to preserve Celina’s identity while meeting the demands of a growing community.
How do you plan to address these issues?
I will prioritize smart infrastructure investments, support law enforcement, and advocate for responsible development that aligns with Celina’s values. By listening to residents, leveraging data-driven insights, and collaborating with stakeholders, we can make informed decisions that foster sustainable growth while preserving our community’s unique character.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
Public safety, infrastructure, and responsible growth. I will support law enforcement, advocate for well-planned roads and utilities, and ensure development decisions enhance Celina’s quality of life. Why are you running for office?
Celina is unique so having a clear vision to make quality decisions and doing what’s best for the city overall are crucial skills. I want to serve again to continue making that vision a reality. With a demonstrated record of success and accomplishments during my first term, I’ll do it!
What are the biggest challenges facing the city?
The biggest challenges are diversification of city revenues and water. The city budget is too dependent on developer fees, so increased local sales tax will ease the tax burden for everyone, especially our property taxes. Securing our own water sources will free us from constant water restrictions imposed by others.
How do you plan to address these issues?
Big box retailers will open in the next 18+ months. Then, the city will realize a huge influx of sales tax dollars that stay local. Therefore, we’ll be far less dependent on fees from growth and residential property taxes. Proactive plans for additional water resources are already in negotiation stages.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
My priorities continue to be the wise use of taxpayer money, building-out robust roads, water, sewer, etc., providing police and fire the resources needed to keep us safe, hiring the best people for city staff, being a strong partner with Celina ISD and ensuring our events remain best in class.
