Celina ISD officials have taken another step toward opening its second middle school.

The district’s board of trustees approved a $3.485 million purchase for furniture, supplies and more for Willard Middle School in a Dec. 15 board meeting. The purchase will include general furniture for the campus, Career and Technical Education tools and equipment, food service supplies and athletic equipment, the agenda stated.

In case you missed it

Willard Middle School will open with fifth and sixth grade students in the 2026-27 school year. The campus will follow this grade level alignment for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years, then return to a 6-8 grade middle school configuration.
