With a new middle school set to open in the 2026-27 school year, Prosper ISD officials have set new attendance zones for its middle school campuses.

The district's board of trustees approved the attendance boundaries during a Nov. 17 board meeting.

Some context

While two new schools, Bridges and Watkins middle schools, will be completed before the 2026-27 school year, the district plans to only operate Bridges Middle next school year due to current enrollment projections.

"We are still growing ... but we are not growing at the extreme rates we've seen the last three years," PISD Deputy Superintendent Bill McLaughlin said in the meeting.

Students attending Reynolds and Moseley middle schools will remain at their campus for the 2026-27 school year. District officials anticipate opening Watkins Middle in the 2027-28 school year.

One more thing

Rising eighth graders can either remain at their current middle school with no transportation provided or attend their new zoned middle school. A dedicated transfer window will be open until Dec. 9.
