Kyla Prusak will serve as chief academic officer of Celina ISD.

Prusak’s service follows Lisa Burgin who is retiring as CISD’s director of teaching and learning, according to a district news release.

Career history

Prusak brings over 20 years of experience in education through serving in various roles, including teacher, curriculum coordinator, educational consultant and professor. She recently served as principal of Frisco ISD’s Minett Elementary School.

Prusak earned her bachelor of arts in psychology and master of arts in teaching from Austin College. She also holds a master of arts in education from Dallas Baptist University. She earned her doctor of philosophy in educational leadership from the University of North Texas.
