Celina City Council approved plans for a new neighborhood.

At its May 13 meeting, City Council approved a development agreement to build a single-family residential neighborhood called Mesa Verde.

The details

The Mesa Verde property is about 40 acres at the southeast corner of Celina Parkway and County Road 59. It sits in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. The development agreement stipulates the future annexation of the property into the city.

The plans include 130 single-family lots, several acres of open space and a 2.7-acre amenity center. The applicant behind the project is also requesting the creation of a public improvement district to help fund the development.

What else?

Mese Verde was one of three neighborhoods approved by Celina City Council on May 13. Altogether, the three developments could bring nearly 500 homes to the city.
