Koper Outdoor offers residential and commercial outdoor living solutions ranging from custom pillows for backyard furniture to complete redesigns for hotels.
What’s special about it?
Although Bridget Hefty’s title is showroom manager, she spends much of her time offsite.
On the residential side, she said clients are surprised when she offers complimentary in-home consultation and credits these visits as being her favorite part of the job. The fact-gathering discussion will revolve around how the space will be used including dining, seating and screen options.
“I'm very visual. It helps me to go to their home and see their esthetic—their color palette. We want a seamless transition from inside to out. Being in their homes really assists in the whole design,” Hefty said. “We carry some exclusive lines, and everything we do is custom—that’s what makes us really different.”
The commercial component of her responsibilities includes redesigns for hotels, country clubs, homeowner associations and more.
“I did a big project in Austin at one of the big hotels and recently a country club in Allen,” Hefty said. “They pull me in for complete redesigns, not when they are reordering the same chaise lounges they’ve ordered for 10 years.”
The setup
In addition to the residential showroom, which opened in 2022 in Prosper, Koper Outdoor has two warehouses in Carrollton. One of the warehouses is the commercial showroom and the second is the fabrication center.
“We have a team that sews cushions, curtains and slings,” Hefty said.
The conditions
Hefty said all Koper Outdoor products come with extended warranties. She added that current outdoor furniture trends feature powder-coated aluminum frames with rope detail. She said fire tables, infrared heaters and outdoor fans allow spaces to be enjoyed year round.
“A lot of people are starting to understand that their outdoor space is more than just the furniture,” Hefty said. “It's really another room for you to live in and enjoy.”
